No
Took my wife for a stroll and a bit of cake up to Berry Head, Brixham yesterday.
She pointed out what appeared to be a Swift, both of us saw it unfortunately the Camera gear is gathering dust at the moment I just can't get the motivation to get out with it.
As far as I'm aware Swifts are most likely to be travelling up through Africa at present, so what did we see an early arrival, any other suggestions please.

I know a few Swallows have been spotted overwintering here in the SW UK, maybe a Swift or 2 has done the same?

There have been a few alpine swifts reported, did it have a white rump?

Alpine swift is most the likely species seen, there is quite an influx of them at the moment with up to 6 in some places. Alpine swift does not have a white rump, they have a white belly and a pale throat, they are also around 30% bigger than common swift.

 I knew there was white somewhere! Just going by memory, just shows what I know - thanks for the correction!
