Just found this website with lots of my old favourites on here... can see this is going to end up costing me

I loved floral gums and cherry lips - what about you?

Star Bars!

'Old English' Spangles

Space dust

Well, I've just had a good look around there and ended up spending £40  Did buy a huge selection gift pack for a Crimbo pressie though, so it's not all for me ;)

Take a look at this one then.......

linky to more goodies.....

I daren't browse on there - my bank balance wouldn't like it!

Blackjacks, which mercifully you can still buy. we were talking about this at work earlier in the week - how when you got your pocket money if you'd been docked any for playing up and you were a bit skint it used to have to be cola pips or their fruity equivalent cos you got loads for your money! Also loved Cough candy and aniseed balls....yum!

I used to get Germolene flavoured chewing gum. Does anyone else remember this? My other half thinks I'm nuts

Whats with tonight, Marmite and now all these sweeties. Next thing you know I'll regress to wanting a tin of condensed milk. This just isn't going to do me DM any good at all  :'(

Wham Bars - Bright green with fizzy crunchy bits in them they were great. :D

I know its not summer but I miss...

Proper sized Jubblies!!! Zooms and Tiger Mints.

How about Jubilee bags, Spangles and Flying Saucers!

Star Bar and Texan Bar just rung a bell with me but Sherbet fountains with a proper liqourice straw did it for me.

Sherbet fountains with a proper liqourice straw did it for me.

You can still get those, too! The ones in the yellow and red cardboard tube you mean don't you?

Yep, you can still get those, Bassets I think....way smaller than they used to be though. :D

Does anybody remember those large gob stopper balls with a sand paper coating...you'd get then stuck in your mouth because they where so large and you'd have to wait for the coating to melt as it was too painful to suck on.

5 and 10 pence mix up with or without chewy/bubble gum.

Everlasting Strips.
Old English Spangles (as previously mentioned)
Rhubarb & Custard boiled sweets from a jar.
Chewing nuts from a jar (hard lumps of toffee covered in chocolate)

I loved everybody's mixture, toffee crunch, pineapple cubes (they made my mouth sore), tom thumb drops....oooh loads of em..

In no particular order:
Cola Cubes (like Pineapple Chunks but with chewy centre!)
Midget Gems
Rileys Chocolate Toffee Rolls
Blood Oranges
Sherbet Lemons (real mouth razors!)
& what were those round chewy sweets with a dusting of sugary powder? Could be had in lemon or strawberry flavour? Strawberry & Lemon Bon-Bons IIRC
I could go on but it would remind me why I have more fillings than teeth :nono:
Paul

oh yes those toffe sweets covered in icing sugar, called bon bons...mmmmm...

aztec bars, yummy

Thanks for a very good find have just ordered some star bars for Grendel should keep me in the good books :naughty:

Oh... and the 'Mr Freeze' long ice pops that you could buy for 5p :)
