Im currently out in Northern Sweden trying to photograph wild Golden Eagles, on my 4th day today and temps have warmed up making it more difficult to see the birds. User from the forum ( Lost)aka Rich is with me. We have now spent a total of 32hrs in the hide in temps as low as -20 degrees but it has been worth it. We managed to see the female of the area attack a white tailed eagle who just moments before had mugged her of some food, she went chasing after the white tailed eagle and a fight started- a fantastic sight seeing her defend her honour and area. A totally blank day today though so we just need to see what tomorrow brings.

Another day done and dusted and again a blank one. Took some nice Grey Headed Woodpecker shots in the snow so that helped with the boredom, that and good company passed the day. No wonder not many people photograph these birds as they are unpredictable and just dont seem to follow a pattern. Maybe the turn in weather has put them off or they may have found a dead reindeer or similar but they just werent to be found today- there is always tomorrow.
