I'm tempted to sell my ipad and buy a macbook air. I just don't use the ipad, I have an iphone, my imac is great but I am finding myself using my windows laptop (bought for work) more as it's convenient sat on the coffee table.

So wondering about getting a macbook air, I don't need a disc drive as got that on my imac. What is the difference in spec between the air and iPad?

Does anybody know what I could get for my ipad 1- it's essentially brand new (swapping it tomorrow for a new one as it's broken) 64gb wi-fi and 3g?

Guess at around £250 for ipad. What is it that you dont like or cant do about the ipad?

I don't know, that's what is annoying me! I think I just prefer the feel of a laptop. I don't use the ipad for apps, I have my iphone for that. I used to take the ipad out of the house, but I have my phone for that now. Just think I could get more use out of a macbook air.

Really only £250 for a brand new ipad even though it's first gen? :(

I use a MBA 13" i5 4GB as my primary machine now after disbanding the 15" MBP.

I havent looked back, especially since it has thunderbolt support.

I also have a NAS on my network for other storage.
