My website's currently hosted by Clikpic and whilst I find them OK I want to give my website a "fresher", more modern look. Which of the available hosting sites do people prefer - Photium & Photoshelter are the two that seem to look quite promising. Any advice appreciated

thanks

Simon

I'm a fan of photoshelter, the main reasons are that it is great for archiving images off site and the ease of supplying images electronically, including using photoquote software to price up licenses for your customers automatically for instant sales.

I have a referal/money off code, if you want it just pm me.

Photium is excellent if you want a direct exchange for Clikpic. My experience with their customer services (ie Will) is just as favourable as everyone else's.

A lot opf pro's seem to use photoshelter but I haven't looked into it myself. I suspect its rather a different kettle of fish.

Click on my link and you'll find a Photium site. However, I'm looking to move because I find the templates restricting and not customisable enough.

Thanks for the feedback everyone...Photium seems pretty popular but I get the impression that it's perhaps a little less "tweakable" than my current Clikpic site after recent upgrades - templates look quite similiar too so I'm not sure it would be worth the effort in swapping over.

Photoshelter looks pretty promising, costs are higher but it may well be worth it - any more feedback from users of Photoshelter please?

I used to use photoshelter but closed my account last month because I found I was not using many of the advanced features. I now have a Smugmug Power account and it is very customisable. The only slight wrinkle with Smugmug is that they currently only do US base print labs and the shipping costs are more than the products. They are supposed to be partnering with an EU print lab "soon" so I decided to go with them.

If local printing is important to you then you could look at Zenfolio also.
