Got home today to find a parcel had turned up, well i had already got the wifes christmas presents so i had no idea what it was, so opened it up to find it was a sigma 55-200mm lens in four thirds fitment.
This i thought was rather strange so i racked my brain for a while (doesn't get used much) and then remembered i had ordered it from warehouse express about three months ago and had totally forgot about it, as in the meantime i had bought an Olympus 45-150mm so will give the sigma a go and see what results i can get with it. It was only £90 so if its no good i will just ebay it.

 Surprise gifts to yourself :D

Sounds like a bargain at that price

let us know how you get on. I was gonna order an sigma lens but i dont know if they are any good.

I think that i ordered it just before my bike accident so was then laid up for seven weeks and i think that the drugs and a nagging missus had scrambled my brain. Hence the reason i forgot about it.:)

yup, deffo the wifes fault

Sorry about the subject not much else of interest in my house, but so far it seems ok it focus's pretty well and the zoom ring is fairly stiff. the manual focus ring feels ok, much better than the olympus manual focus and seems to be well built. up to now well worth the money and being on the Oly E1 55-200mm becomes 110-400mm.

Judging by those it looks like you got yourself a bargain

looks ok to me :)

awaiting those outdoor shots :D

Got smoe grab shots today not very good as i was late for work and sat on my pushbike. The first few are crossing the Nene valley railway, tried to catch the steam train tonight but it was just too fast for my poor legs.:)

Tried a couple on the way home of the cathedral but i didnt have my tripod so the quality is a little poor.
