Hi all,

I am looking for a laptop or tablet that is a let to edit Raw files on Lightroom & Photoshop when away from home. While my main editing is done on Lightroom & Portrait Professional, I do occassionally use Photoshop for some things and so a device with a stylus would be great.

Normally when I am away from home, I use a HP Elitebook with 2nd gen i5. However now that my camera bag is gaining weight with various lenses, I would love to have something that is lighter than the Elitebook.

Originally I was looking at a used Surface Pro 2 which uses Wacom technology. But now I am wondering if there are any other alternatives that would be better ?.

I don't have an exact budget in mind as am willing to save for it if need be.

Many thanks

Hi it depends on what sort of work you do but:
IPad Pro 12.9 2017 512gb i s what. I use for all my Fuji editing etc (I am not in business)
It’s so simple with Adobe CC mobile on this beast of a tablet they work seamlessly together i must say - i hardly turn on my IMac to edit now!

My advice would be to buy used or nearly new to save money.
My complete kit is this Ipad and a Fuji X100 F with conversion lenses and a couple of Godox 850 flashes

Hope this babble helps you

Hi
I appreciate that this is an older post, but I'm in a similar position (debating whether to get a Surface Pro 2) and wondered whether you've now decided upon a new device and if so, which one you went for?
My choice is principally Ipad Pro (2 or 3) v Surface Pro 2.
I run LR stanalone on my home PC & realise that if I go the Ipad route then I'll need different RAW processing sw.
Thanks
