I was having an idle look for a Nikon TC 1.4 teleconverter (heavens, aren't they expensive?!) and found that few major retailers have any. LCE put an estimated delivery of 60 days. A very quick gander at other Nikon lenses seem to show a lot of similar shortages. Is this just Nikon lenses (cameras seem to be available for the most part) or are there similar delays to other makes of lens (I'd have a look but being a Nikon man I don't know what the most modern other manufacturers lenses are these days)?

I’ve got the Nikon TC 1.4 111 on order for the last 8 weeks don’t know when I will get it

Probably got something to do with the global shortage of chips ( not the potato kind)

Would there be a chip in the TC 1.4? I suppose so really, there are computer chips in everything these days.
