This.Don't wish to steal anyone's cookie but I don't get the big deal about the "supermoon". Difference will be barely noticeable. It's only ~1% bigger than it was at the last full moon and only ~10% bigger than at the last full moon perigee (if 10% sounds impressive, remember we're talking area).
Supermoon is a nifty piece of lunar trivia but as a spectacle it's a bit of a sparrow's fart. For almost all credible purposes it will look no different. Many people will kid themselves that it does, however, as they always do. Maybe they confuse the moon illusion with the supermoon or something. I don't know.
Not forgetting that the Moon at full is relatively uninteresting as far as photography goes (unless there's an eclipse) since it's so flatly lit.

Just a heads up for anyone interested, there is going to be a supermoon this coming Sunday![]()
Except they are almost all nothing to do with the supermoon. The fact they may have been taken during a supermoon is inconsequential (except for purposes of hyping the image up).Cheers, I'll keep an eye out this Sunday. Some fantastic supermoon shots on the web.
No-one. Just perplexed by all the hype in the media and elsewhere about a complete non-event (visually at least).wow dude, who rained on your fireworks?
Looking forward to it if the clouds break. Ta OP.

The actual size of the moon in your visual field is roughly that of the average thumbnail held at arm's length.
I thought it was the little-fingernail.
Well the clouds parted last night so this is my effort, nothing particularly stellar

Both the weather and the suitability of the Moon will increase over the next week or so.way too cloudy down south UK maybe tonight will work?
