Ha, up until yesterday this was listed as a super takuma 50mm f/1.8..which doesn't exist! I asked the dozy seller if it was correct and she said no its actually the 55mm f/1.8
anyway here's the link:

The Super Takumar is only very slightly (if at all) short of the Super Multicoated Takumar 50mm f/1.4, which is considered to be one of the finest prime lenses ever made.
I watched an SMC 50mm finish for £60ish quid yesterday! Optically better than lenses such as the Minolta AF 50mm f/1.7, for £30 this is a bargain!
Its an M42 mount so you'll need an adapter to use it on a Canon or Minolta, get one with a chip and auto focus aids will still work (it won't autofocus for you, but it will tell you when the lens is in focus after you focus manually). Though you will have to use stop-down metering.
Nikon users are advised to stay clear as you won't be able to focus to infinity
