I want to buy a ballhead. One of my friends is using Sunwayfoto and people on Amazon said that their ballheads are good quality and not so expensive. Can anyone tell me whether I should buy it or not?

SunwayFoto are high quality. I've only used a couple of their heads though the DB44 is excellent by any measure. From CameraGearUK - good supplier http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Camera-Gea...1000521017&_sid=4097057&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Also check out Feisol. CB-40D is exceptional value and came Best in Test in a magazine review I did recently of a dozen top ball heads http://www.globaltechcommerce.co.uk/feisoluk/7-heads
 
Researched them a fair bit and looked good, ended up with a Photoclam (Markins copy) in the end as they just seemed a little bit nicer

Can I ask where you got the PhotoClam Rich? They're not easy to get hold of. I've always wondered if they're more than Markins copies, so similar, maybe from the same factory?

Bought it from Ebay Richard, couldn't find anywhere else to get one over here.

I bought the small 33NS and must say it looks very similar to a Markins (do have a M10 for comparison) in nearly every way.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory, the Photoclam is very nicely finished and functions well for the money.

Intend to do a little review for TP when I get the time

Thanks, just wondered if PC had a UK importer yet. They do some nice quality stuff :)
 
Just received my sunwayfoto ballhead FB-44DDH2 from CameraGearUK.
Very excellent build quality and the movement of the ball is very smooth.But the box is not strong enough.
