Going to Torquay on sat and hoping to have a go at some sunrise pics, just wondered if sunrise is at 7:00, what time will I need to be there and set up by?

Give yourself at least 45 mins. The sky and clouds can give off some amazing colours before the sun gets over the horizon.

Do you know which direction to face? Do you know where you want to set up? Do you know what you want in the foreground? Have you recced the place in daylight? Add more time if there is a no for any of those!!

I don't want to hijack "Shooting Star's" thread but he maybe interested in the answer too.

Why does the rising sun look different to the setting sun?
I've pondered this before and never come up with a plausible answer.

Bob

PS..Sorry SS...but it looked like a good place to ask.

Primarily as you're watching colour entering rather than leaving the world.

Air temp has a lot to do with it as well - evenings tend to be warmer and the air contain more vapour than mornings.

Probably a plethora of other factors too!

Johny,

I can go along with the last two reasons.

This one left me with the WTFaYTA expression on my face that regularly appears after wife has come out with a statement:shake:......Could you expand a little please?
