Sunpak Thyristor Auto Zoom 2400

Just picked one up at a bootfair for £2 power drops to 1/32 so figured it might be useful for strobist stuff.

Will it work with ebay triggers or is it too high a voltage?

I'd be very careful. I can't find that specific model, but if you look here:

Some of the Sunpak entries produce very high voltages.
Better safe than sorry....
I suppose you could always put a DVM across the contacts when firing it? Keep your fingers out of the way though, just in case.

I suppose I could add a optical hotshoe onto the bottom of it and use it like that if I wanted to.

I picked up a Vivitar 740 AFC off the carboot today and tested the DC voltage with a multimeter when, I got home mine showing 4.8 v
if you have a meter it shows you here how to do it
