Here are a few of my first colour shots from the Yash-mat before my light meter arrived.

Kodak Ektar 100, f16 and 1/125 shutter speed. Kindly developed by Steve.

Small amount of cloning required due to slight mishap

Other than that, only resized and a bit of USM.

They look pretty nice, Heather; congratulations! I'd heard that Ektar is pretty fussy, too. I've a 35mm roll sitting on the shelf, but I think I'm trying Portra first (but probably neither on Sunny 16!). The shadows look soft rather than hard; some guides seem to hint that makes a difference, but these look very good at f/16.

I am glad you are pleased with the developing...Mishap, I dont know what you mean .......picture this, I have just loaded your film on to a spool and I am just putting mine on the same spool ( it's got the first 4" or so on the spool ) it,s obviously pitch black in my darkroom... and I sneeze when I am turning the spool, this now has resulted in the two halfs of the spool coming apart and my film is on the floor and yours is resting half on my legs and half on the floor what do you think I did at this point
Anyway managed to get the two halves of the spool back together, got your film on the spool then crawled on the floor and found mine by the waste bin, popped mine on the spool got it all together and into the tank to be developed....and now you have your developed colour film....I bet they dont have that much fun at the boots developing lab isn't life fun....

Thanks Chris, I am well pleased with how these turned out. I think the shadows are just how they were. The scooter one I don't think the sun was right out as there was quite a bit of cloud about which may have softened the shadow a bit.

There was a scooter rally near me over the weekend and I used another roll of Ektar today as it was nice. Good job no-one told me that it was fussy before I used it!

I have put a roll of Fuji Provia in now so will see how that comes out!

Maybe I don't need the meter as much as I thought I did!

Mmmmmm, I don't see any mention of nearly putting the paper from my film onto the spool......

I think it was a miracle I only had to deal with a few scratches!

I really like low tide and fishing boat. With the boat shot the detail in the pebbles is very good and works well with the colours of the boat itself, especially the dark, muted blue.
