How's yours looking?

I've got 4 rolls of 120, a roll of 135 and a half dozen sheets of 54 to develop. On top of that I've got about 6 rolls and a load of 54 to scan.

I do tend to shoot more in the summer than I have time to process even if it hasn't stopped raining this year. At least with the nights are drawing in I don't have time to get into the hills and it's not started getting dark enough to get out in the city nights so I'll have a little while to sort through my summer stuff before I get into something new.

I'm pretty much on top of it. I do tend to shoot and dev straightaway, 10 rolls shot on Arran and all devved within a week or so of returning. Super efficient, handsome and kind to animals, that's me.:D

Up to date.

Aye but you cheat :D. TBH I probably should have farmed out the scanning once I'd got this far behind.

I wish I could be efficient and upto date like Andy and RJ ...as it is I'm like Steveo...no worse, i daren't even look at the backlog tbh, if i do i'll ever shoot owt again for fear of never catching up!

Between the volume of rolls that I shoot and my PhD and sport commitments, I really have no choice but to farm out much of my development. Over the past 30 months, I've shot 400 rolls. I'm really behind on my printing though, which I hope to rectify once I finally hand in my PhD thesis.

I currently only have a roll of 120 PanF sat in the fridge waiting to be developed. It's been there since April mind as for some reason I'm not that excited about the photos on it. Knowing my luck they'll be really good but I'll sit on them for another year before I get off my arse and do them haha. I tend to develop my rolls within a few days of shooting them, typically any shot over the weekend will be done on a Monday before I play skittles.

I have a couple of rolls languishing in the fridge from 2 or 3 summers ago, not likely to be devved any time soon as I have no idea what's on them and no idea what ISO I shot them at... Other than that all of my devving is up to date, @PMN is firing some of my 120 through the Cezanne and then my scanning backlog is all cushty.

My literature review backlog though... Sheesh...

Just me and Asha then. Who'd have thought you lot would be so organised.

Mmmm yeah kinda strange cos I'm darned sure there's no Scot blood in me .....OMG, it's gotta be the adverse effects of Blix!:wacky::confused::D

Nah if it was the Scot in me that was causing the problem I'd have been working out how to develop film in used tea bags rather than just watching TV. I think I'm just lazy. You can blame the blix. :)

6 x 120 slide
10 x 120 b/w
2 x 135 c41
3 x 135 b/w

I'd expect to add another 6-10 120 to that from hols, but the way things are going it might be a washout :(
This is the first time I've ever had a backlog, dunno if I'm just shooting more or shooting more rubbish, I suspect it's the latter...

Backlog of others has to be good............If it makes Steveo and i feel better about it :p

I'll bring a few papers with me to the lake district meet, you can join in then!

Ugh, I'm hopefully applying the finishing touches on my literature review as we speak.

I've only just started my PhD and I already feel like I'm slipping behind...

.

Accademic and Asha don't mix very well at all ...I'm sure it's been noticed that I'm probably the Official Forum Slacker! :ROFLMAO:

I Dev my B&W within a few days of finishing usually so I'm up to date on that. Just got 1 roll portra 400 in the drawer waiting. Havnt chosen a c41 kit yet so might be a while.

Um ... I don't know. :$

There's a few rolls of 120 and 35mm in the fridge waiting to be developed (8, possibly, with some dating back to October last year when we were in Majorca) and a pile waiting to be scanned, maybe a dozen or more rolls. I'm still shooting and haven't processed some that I've scanned and some digital that I've taken recently. Basically, I'm way off. :exit:

I rather wish I had waited until I got home to process the two films I did at my sister's farm last week! I have not yet finished scanning the second one; decided a dust-free (or at least, low-dust) environment was a GOOD thing!

bunch of slide film, mostly 120

but is anyone like me with part finished rolls in a bunch of different cameras?

4 half rolls here...

Yep, in a few cameras, including one I'd forgotten about completely and only realised there was a film still in there when I moved it the other day and wondered why there was a memo slip in the back.

i think my oldest part roll is in my diy plastic pinhole camera, be a few years :/

Loads, I've got a Praktica that my brother gave me a with a half shot roll of HP5 in but because I dislike the camera so much I may never finish it.

A roll in a folder that's been there for a while and a 8/10 roll of fp4 in a rb67 back that I'm not sure what is on it.

Backlog is worse than I thought.

6 x 120 B&W (mix of HP5, FP4 and Delta 100)
4 x 35mm B&W (Tri-X)

and in a box to go to Peak
2 x 120 colour (1 Velvia, 1 Portra)
1 x 35mm XP2

Loving the dis-connect....:)

I should probably qualify that

So I was sorting out my stash after returning to sunny WYorks, turns out besides the E6 and C41 stuff that needs developing I have 12 rolls of various 120 b/w and a smattering of 35mm, so I was sorting out what would soup with what in me BIG tank, then out pops this roll of HP5 which doesn't really go with anything else.
And I'm wondering, what's on that then, and then it occurred to me that including the E6 and C41, I don't have the beginnings of a clue what's on any of it...

I've had another thought of a questionable nature

Is it wrong to hope they're all sh1te so I don't have to scan any....:cautious:

h'mm after reading this thread it seams there is a lot of film with unimportant shots on them, dare I suggest all the important shots were with a digi .....well not for John as I don't think he has one.

I do, but I don't use it for anything important..:ROFLMAO:

How do we evaluate "important", I mean....everything I shoot is important in that I want it to be successful, but if it isn't......oh well, sh1t happens
Its not like I'm shooting for somebody else, or to pay bills, so what is actually important.......I dunno

Well maybe "important" is the wrong word but shots you, your family or friends would like to see....but I too can leave a film in the camera for ages if I've taken some boring shots that I've taken before e.g. flowers in the garden.

Well you can do your up most to ensure your pictures are a success but the potential for fuxup shooting film is so much higher than digital that you have to draw a line and let it go, or you'll never shoot it again.
I think it helps if you can learn to accept failure....rofl.....is this not part of the film experience, for every fuxup there are a number of ordinary captures, a number of happy accidents and a few winners.
I like a bit of random, science is too predictable.
For anyone who absolutely must get the shot come hell or high water no matter what, digital will better serve them, dull I know but its a fact.
