I've just happened upon this while on my usual surfing missions.

http://sugru.com/

How have I not heard about this stuff before? It looks incredibly versatile, and has loads of uses, especially in photography (Look on the photography section on their website).

Has anyone got some / used it? What are your thoughts.

Saw this in my landrover forum a while back... Meant to buy some but forgot, seems like it could be very useful for lots of things.. Like holding land rovers together!

Seen it in B&Q, keep meaning to get some. Will remember one day.

I need this in my life!!

I've used it for several things, and it's awesome beyond belief! A little goes a long way, and so far I've used it to repair a headphone cord my daughter's hamster chewed through, fix fraying phone charger cables, fix two nuts at 90 degrees to each other for my time lapse dolly, and seal around the base of a toilet pan where silicone sealant had failed.

If you have a cheap eBay cable release, you need Sugru big time!

My next project is to make a waterproof case for my iPhone and external battery, for when I use it as my hill walking GPS.

It's only available in B&Q for a short period, on trial, so it would help this young independent firm a lot if anyone who needs some could buy it from there ASAP :). It keeps for up to 18 months in the fridge.

I've got no connection with Sugru, other than being an exceptionally happy user.

I've used it to customise the grip on my bow - very easy to do and the result is perfect.

This has got to be worth getting some to experiment
bandQ for me tomorrow then
Amazing looking stuff

Bet you play a mean fiddle Frank :D

I need some of this, unfortunately Vietnam is a bit thin on the ground for B and Q's. Maybe one of you kind peeps can fashion me a Sugru bottle and pop it in the North Sea. I will keep an eye out for it on the beach here in about a year. Many thanks in advance......

I'd never heard of this stuff. I've just put it on my shopping list :) Thanks!

My first trial with it will begin at tea time
Hope it's as amazing as it looks
Bit more expensive in B&Q, £8 for 5 pieces apparently

just bought an assorted colour 8 pack from ebay for £11.95 with free post.
gotta be worth a go :)

also if you ever need something that sets harder than mastic but is still slighty flexible take a look at Shoe Goo

That's mine blobbed on to my phone and hopefully setting soon. 24 hours is a bit of a pain but I've lost count of iphone screens I've killed, well, smashed, but they still work if you can tolerate glass splinters :-)
Have also got a wee job lined up for the garage door if the rain's off tomorrow
I got the black and it's very messy on the fingers so beware trying it out in your best white shirt

The blobs on the phone were set this morning, so 12 hours or so wasn't bad. Clever stuff.

how much would postage to vietnam be ? If its not a lot i'd be happy to stick a pack in the post if you paypaled me the cost plus postage

I've got to have some of this! Amazon to the rescue, eta tomorrow

Thanks for the tip Marcel.

That looks amazing... love messing with stuff like that

Between this, gaffa tape and super glue I could sort Anything!

You can get some good deals on this stuff from Amazon from time to time. As low as £8 delivered for a pack of 8.

gaffa tape and super glue if it moves when it shouldnt
lump hammer and wd 40 if it doesnt move when it should
can't fix it ? - you need a bigger hammer
still can't fix it ? you have correctly diagnosed an electrical fault
