Hi all, I've had a look at various websites.. speedlightsdotnet etc etc.. in the hope of trying to settle on my first hot shoe flash.. I now have a good idea of the features id like, but im still no closer to selecting a model.. and the choice of models is starting to melt my newbie mind T_T some suggestions/pointers would be very, very much appreciated.
im mainly looking to use the flash with my canon 550d, and likely a nifty fifty.. to do indoor/outdoor portrait shots (people, interesting objects, family gatherings etc), with the flash on and off the camera. e-ttl would be nice to make sure i get things exposed correctly, and swivel/tilt = a must as im hoping to bounce light off a few things. my budget would stretch up to about £70-£100max.. so the canon ones are out of the question lol.. the current ones im looking at are
jessops 360afd,
YongNuo YN-468 e-TTL,
Nissin Di-622 Mark II
it would be nice to have the wireless ttl that the nissin has.. and the ettl again to get my exposure right. another thing my head cant hack right now is what 'flash output' would do the job for me.. ive had a google to try understand these figures a bit more with little success.. perhaps due to the rather late time im writing this..
ANYYYY help, pointers or suggestions would be very much appreciated as i really want to get cracking
thanks in advance,
Pete
