The monitor on my home pc is rubbish.
I posted a couple of photo's earlier in the landscape section of some mine buildings against a sunset and when I viewed them on my mac at work the buildings were completely silhouetted, here is one of them....

When I view that image on my home pc I can see quite a bit more detail in the stone work, an image far more like I had intended. Although even then, the amount of detail varies depending on the angle I view the screen from, slightly off and it goes much darker.
It's not an IPS panel and the brightness is turned down to zero so I'm not sure there is much I can really do with it.
A replacement monitor has been on the cards for a while, and now I'm beginning to do more photography, if what I'm seeing on my screen is totally out of whack with things it's going to make printing and the like problematic.
So, is there anything in particular I should look for or avoid? I assume IPS is a must and I would be looking at 27 inches or more. Whether it's 4K or less, driving it won't be a problem.
