90% of the weddings I shoot are asian weddings, where the couple sit on a pretty stage that is heavily backlit. This has always been an issue for me as the exposure variance means a blown background or a heavy use of flash that kills the ambient light. Over the weekend I shot a wedding and realised that I could expose for the videographers light and still bounce light to side light the couple on the stage. This lead me to think about buying a video light or lamp for these kind of events. It is intrusive and cumbersome but I cant seem to workaround it. Can anyone suggest any reasonably priced stand mounted lamps that I could try?

thank you for the link. I am wondering if LED lights are the way forward as opposed to the high consumption and red hot lamps!
