Hi everyone, i have a wedding coming up in few weeks and they ask if i could do a Photo Booth and print passport photos so they can stick onto an album which they are supplying, i own a Mitzi cp-d70dw but not sure if i can get that sort of media for printer, i have the rest of the props and background so i said why not extra 400 quid and am gonna be there till 10ish anyhow!!

if anybody knows of any media that prints 4 passport size photos on a strip and can peel back off to stick onto a book, seen it done before but not sure if my printer will support this

thanks

Ali, there is no sticky backed media for that machine, but you can produce two 6x2" strips using the 6x4 media. There is a firmware patch available to do that. I believe Mitsubishi Electric have it available to download from their website.

The only way that I could see this being done is by using an ink-jet printer and printing onto labels sheets or similar.

Obviously not the same thing, but Mitsubishi definitely don't do this kind of media.

You could do it yourself with a roll of double sided tape, but obviously far more messy and time consuming.

Can you still get them?

Don't want to sound cocky here, but what's wrong with using a glue stick?

One swipe over and it's done.

Extra craft element, the more effort seems to go into the end product, the more the customer is willing to pay. Too quick and easy and they start to question it. So, yes, surprisingly Richard, you are correct.

Well that's my thoughts. I could be wrong mind!

Sorry Richard, I didn't mean it too come across that way.

What I meant was the fact that using glue was something that was a surprise.

:)
