Hi all,
I'm trying to develop my skills in off-camera flash for portraiture.
My current set-up is an SU-800, an SB-900 and an SB-600 (borrowed from a friend!).
I love how the SU-800 works. I think the way in which you can adjust the flash output and shift the A/B balance so quickly, is great.
My early experiments were all indoors and my set-up worked perfectly. However, I've taken the set-up outdoors recently and I'm starting to have some problems. I took some shots a couple of days ago on a pier over Lake Windermere and I was having real problems getting the flashes to fire using the SU-800.
I'm aware that this is known issue.
Here's my question though!
Can I connect cords between the SU-800 and the flashes? I want to maintain all of the compensation/A-B balance functionality of the SU-800 but use cords (if the situation requires them) to guarantee that the flashes fire every time. Is this possible? And if so, which cables would work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
