Stunning Image on Coast (BBC)

I was watching Coast earlier on BBC2 and in this series they are doing the coast of France. They were looking at the coast of Brittany and mentioned the very bad weather the area gets and showed 'they said' this very famous image, and I was stunned by this picture by Jean Guichard.

I was amazed I'd never seen it before.

Apparently the Lighthouse keeper came out to look when he heard the Helicopter. The photographer gave the Lighthouse Keeper a very large signed copy of the pic in the show.

They showed the sequence of images in the programme which can be seen about 23 minutes into the programme on the iPlayer.

Good job the lighthouse keeper came out the back door rather than the front door !

He was'nt aware of the size of the wave coming, and managed to dash back inside when he noticed how big it was.

The photographer nearly got him killed.
