Hi....I am interested in trying portraits but dont really have a clue about lighting etc.

Can anyone recommend any suitable courses pref in the SE area ?

I did remove the info about the lighting courses from talk basics as I thought it was the wrong place to have it, but I haven't created a new thread as the next lighting course is now in August.

No I haven't but have seen some stunning photos and feedback on his courses.

Am planning on seeing if I can get a 121 afternoon with him in august

If you're willing to travel to the SW, www.lovegroveconsulting.com do studio lighting one-day courses. I've not done one of those, but I have attended another of his courses and he's very knowledgeable and approachable. He does small groups and 1-2-1s.
