I thought I'd put up a couple of pics of my Studio. It's located in an old farm building and is nearly complete as far as I want to go with it. There aren't many studios round this way to hire and for what I'm paying for the space you could only just about rent a garage.
The main area I've still got to get another set of black curtains and a blind and that should just about finish it off. It measures 30ft by 20ft by 10ft high roughly.

Hi David,

I think it looks great, must be lovely to have your own dedicated space. Looking from an outsiders view do you just have the one room?

Wondered if it was worth getting a sofa or something for people to sit on for when you are shooting groups etc. as I couldn't see anything! Do you have bathroom facilities there too?

Will you be doing viewing there or how do you present them to your clients?

Looks a lovely big space, I hadnt wanted my own studio until recently, now I do so I am very jealous!

Yes it's just the one room , hence the curtains for the changing area. I did think about partitioning bits off but as its not going to be used commercially I'm trying to not go ott.
There are bathroom facilities that are available in the adjoining farmhouse.
I'm keeping my eyes open for a nice leather sofa on eBay etc
I've got the laptop there which I can have tethered to the camera for viewing.
I'd been looking for a space for a while but the prices were to high. It is nice to have somewhere to keep everything and leave it set up, stops the wife nagging every time I used to rearrange the lounge.

It hasn't been to bad Duncan . Managed to do a couple of hours hear and there. I've been lucky that it hasn't cost a lot. The eBay account has been busy.

nice! might be worth boarding the ceiling, you're going to lose all your heat for the sake of some plasterboard and insulation, easy job too

I have looked at doing it and it's not to expensive

All that room i'm not jealous either... as I have a couple of nice motorcycles that I would like to photograph with the right model on them...( I have had a measure up and I recon I could get them in my living room one at a time, but the missus dont think it,s a good idea:'( ... still she cant be around 24 hours a day ;)

Thanks for the feedback. It's nice having it and it's only 10 mins up the road. I've got muslin backgrounds at the minute but I'm going to change the white & grey for paper. I'm pleased with how it's looking. The wife jokingly said about getting an allotment but I can hide here instead :-) Here's a pic of what it looked like when I first moved in hopefully the models will be of a higher standard than the one in the pic lol
