Hi, I am trying to set up a small studio area to see if I can recoup a few pounds I've spent on camera equip.
I'm using a canon 5d2, I don't want to spend a fortune, can anyone give me any advise tips on what to buy?

Well TBH, any of the regular brands will do the job & have budget packs(?) which will have the essentials; Bowens, Elichrom, Lencarta..., but I think it is all a bit at odds with the above statement, how do you recoup money by spending even more? Yes I'm well aware of the speculate to accumulate business model, but  how's that supposed to work in your case?

Either way, Lecarta Smartflash kit @ £300, Elichrom D-Lite 200 kit @ £500 or perhaps on a low budget an Interfit kit from about £200 and so on.

Or just go and shoot some natural light pictures for cash... There is a lot you can do with a cheap reflector and the lovely light you get around sunrise/sunset...
