Studio Lighting - getting in right in camera

on the above photo if i used the boards and moved them across more, to where you can see the backdrop stop, would reduce flare?
 
ok, re read the thread, and please forgive me lack of understanding at the moment i am exhausted from a new baby and not getting chance to read stuff correctly.

Re reading it i think i get what i need to do so will attempt this later and post this photos for feedback
