Hi all,

I know my way around a studio to a degree, but I would like to understand things in more depth and also learn to use light/shadow more creatively.

Does anyone know of any one or two day courses in the Dorset area that do this?

The main types of photography it would be used for is model/fashion and family - so opposite ends of the spectrum in many ways.

Budget is around £500 really.

thanks all

Neil

Google Chris Burfoot I think he runs courses via the RPS and the Flash centre over in your direction.

Chris works for Bron now, not the TFC.

For the OP's budget, I would suggest finding a studio photographer that he admires the work of, and spending a day working through their styles.

Chris Burfoot does weekend Studio Potraiture courses for the RPS now- same
Lighting course as always, and usually at Lacock near Chippenham. There is a useful FB group of his course delegates developing too. Next course 22 June

He also does a couple of more advanced lighting courses for Art nude.

Dates and details for RPS courses HERE

thanks Bayrunner:thumbs:

I'd certainly second the courses that Chris runs via the RPS. A very nice bloke, with years of experience, and in a great location.
As has already been mentioned, the subsequent facebook group that you would then be able to join is a great place to discuss or ask for advice. Thoroughly recommend.
