studio head and power pack

I got offerred a visatech 1600b for 200 ish fow do people rate them as single heads (with a powerpack for sun rapeage) or with mains for using as a key light for events with speedlights running the other jobs for non white bg (if whit be would be enough for using real heads)

what do you knowledgeable people think of this idea and does anyone know anything, basic plan is for when overpowering sun use key as bare or big brolly dependant on light levels

ideas apreciated

probs gonna pick up an xplorer for mains off the beaten track

hmm, specs seem ok, but the durations are terrible (t 0.5 1/600 sec.) - these often get longer as you power down the head too. The t.1 duration is likely to be something like 1/200th which is really crap.

gonna skip this one and drop the money somewhere else I think
