I might need to get some of those large foam/polystyrene boards at some point in the future and was wondering on a price but can seem to find them online

The ones ive seen used in studios are about 6ft by 4ft and a good inch or 2 thick.Usually white on one site, black on the other, dont know if they come like this or if everyone paints one side...

Anyone know where you can get these?

Thanks

Most builders merchants should sell them i'm sure i saw them in wickes about 15 quid each.Usually all white and you paint them yourself.

You'll find them under the trade name Jablite, but non-branded polystyrene boards are also available.

Cheapest place I've found for this type of thing is DoBuildDirect (they're part of Travis Perkins) if you can meet the minimum order quantities. For the 2" stuff (2400x1200x50mm) this is six sheets at £10.52 inc VAT with free delivery.. so six sheets delivered for the price of four collected from your local builders merchant. I used this site for insulation for a studio shed and saved a couple of hundred on the project compared to buying locally.

^Thanks for that, saved me having to find the cheapest too
6 is probs the max we'll need too.

Is 50mm in this gunna be robust enough? Not that were gunna throw them around but they'll be in use pretty often.

You coudl alway glue 2 together, giving yyou 4 inch thick boards, or stick them to some hardboard to strengthen them.
