Studio floor

I want to add to my current choice of studio flooring.

At the moment I have:

Shiny white
Paper (grey, black, sage green etc etc)

I want to add a wood look by getting about 4m2 of laminate flooring. This would be glued onto 2 1m x 2m plywood sheets and just put on the floor when I want it.

But what colour flooring is the most useful. I dont want too strong a colour (yellow pine etc) but I do want a bit of charecter so am thinking a oak wide plank look something like this ?

Pebbles look fantastic, lay them on a sheet of thick clear polythene and you can then scoop them up easily. Spray a little water on them for a more interesting effect, blur the join at the back with driftwood etc. Also, any prop shadows pretty much vanish.

I shot some tiles like this in a mini set with old crab claws, sea weed, sand, broken shell etc with a piece of driftwood right across the back with a tile leaning against it.




Totaly wrong for selling tiles but a good play with stuff.

Nice idea, but the max size looks like it may be a bit restrictive. Plus laminate is cheaper as you can get a laminate floor (like this) for £10 per m2. The vinyl on the site above is a lot more than that (although easier to store).

My thoughts were to fix laminate to 2x1m sheets of ply and just store them vertcially when I wasn't using them. Or put them down on the floor when I was.
