Looking at fitting some floor covering in my 2 new studios. Size are 15 x 35ft each. Not sure if i should go for carpet tiles - vinyl or laminate.

Would like to ask what other members have used in their studios ?

I used some studio facilities last week for a sports car shoot - I was very impressed at their heavy duty, industrial grade white painted concrete floor finish.

Easy to maintain, clean and repair.

Not carpet tiles, too soft, so paper/vinyl on top can get damaged.

Do you want the floor finish to be an option for the photos, or just something hard to go under vinyl/paper etc?

Relying on large 3x8 metre roll down vinyl backgrounds only ... floor will not be part of the photos ..

So could be half carpet tiles leading onto a white poly sheet floor. Just priced some white 8x4ft firm poly sheets from my local sign supplier and this could be an option where the vinyl backdrops go ..

other ideas welcome ..

So, whatever goes under the vinyl backgrounds needs to be hard, whatever doesn't needs to be greyscale (so you don't add colour to the light)
