Where can I find reasonably priced flash gels in bright colours? I'm not really looking for subtle corrections, more creative stuff. Needs to fit over a Bowens wide angle reflector. Found one kit for £53, but considering it's just coloured plastic, seems a bit much.

Cpc do a 'vivid' set for cheap, search 'lighting filters' on their site. Will link when not on my iPad....

Seen those before Paul, could never find a colour representation (admittedly didn't look very hard). They might be the ones to go for. Still seems expensive to me though.

Well the likes of Lee and Rosco are used by the film industry and you are paying a premium for their heat resistant ability, the fact they won't fade after time and when you buy the next set, they'll be exactly the same colour...I've had a sets of Lee gels I've been using for 20 years, so at £20 a pack, I'd consider them good value, quality costs ;)

Fair enough, not entirely sure how much I'll use them but really want to experiment with it all. Are they okay to use on constant lights as well as flashes?

Also, saw the Lee filters, but can't find them to buy anywhere!

Thanks for your help Paul! Whenever going on their website I kept finding really awkward websites to use with very little range.

As you seem to have experience with them, how do you go about attaching them? Does it matter much if they become kinked/creased etc?
