Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is in the correct place, but does anybody with a studio on here offer studio experience days for an amateur such as myself?? Or does anybody know of somewhere that offers such a thing??

Thanks

Matt

Yes there are lots of studio tutorial things around.

If you can't see them on studio websites then try contacting a studio directly and ask them.

They aren't cheap though and it is often beneficial to group together with another couple of people to cut the price down.

Hi Matt,
You might want to look on this site : http://www.meetup.com/
There are thousands of groups on there covering all sorts of interests (Not just photography).
I have attended a few meet-ups, including studio days, and whilst they can vary from excellent to waste of time, if you look at the history of a group you find, you'll see how well attended they are, and how expensive/cheap they are too, as well as showing some results from previous meet-ups.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Gary.

I see you are down as being located in Manchester. I know of a few places that could help you out. Ropeworks in Stockport have training days, Tally Ho in Wigan have evening group shoots which are a good introduction to studios and also Brian Sandham at Stillshot in Preston does an introduction to studio photography course.

That is to name just a few. I'm pretty sure that if you find any studio and contact them then they'll either be able to help you out or point you in the right direction. A lot of studios are looking for income wherever they can get it.

Haha thanks!! My cousin is a model so I will ask her and get back to you!

Thanks

Matt

I can show you what we do on a daily basis, puts 99% of people off fashion photography :)

Only the lucky few get to go to exotic places.

Cool, over to you, should be a good shoot, I also own a ladies clothing retailer (missbehaver.com) and the stock, some 5000 items are housed in the studio, so we won't be short of outfits !!!!

Multiple lighting rigs, green screen infinity curve, etc...... Lots to play with.

Ok tasmin is in :) plus she said she may be able to get a few other models on board :) so it's dates and times to confirm now :)

I would be interested in this too. Maybe a new thread to gian interest levels?

Craig, it may also benefit you to have a 'live' showing of your clothing ranges? Images supplied in return for use of the studio?
