As title really. Trying to loose a light stand or two, so thinking about getting a couple of wall mounted boom arms.

Has anyone got any experience with similar products?

The idea would be that wiring is out of the way and the flash head and arm could just be pushed flush(ish) to the wall when not in use. Could've used to light the background and then the head turned and used as a hair light or what ever.

Can't find a single review or video on using them... Anyone got any links? Lol

What's a paid on results link? On iPhone so might be missing something lol.

It opens the foto sense website for me??

When you click it, a paid on results URL opens and then it redirects to the foot sense site.

Not sure how it does that...

Paid on results are a service that basically pay people for posting links that other people click on.
 
How very odd. I just copied the link from their website... Thats certainly a strange one. Will have a look later when in on a pc

I see it now! thats really odd, the link was taken directly from google and the fotosense site.

It's very weird because there doesn't seem to be anything odd about the link.

Either it's from Fotosense or it's from the forum....
 
I dont know if I would bother with wall booms. Unless you pay alot and get a fully poseable bracket, they are very restrictive.
I wouldnt use anything other that tripods until I could install ceiling tracks and drop down booms.
 
Thanks for the ideas/ thoughts. I've installed the boom arm and it seems to be pretty good. Goes flat to the wall when it in use and extends a fair way out. You can adjust the angle of it too, so it can be used as a hair light. Don't have the height for a set of ceiling tracks :(

I wish I did, I was playing with a set at fareham college yesterday, and they where so nice.

I'm interested in a couple of these and I can't find any specs either. I would appreciate your thoughts on it and a few specs if possible

Closed and Extended size, angle of swing, flimsy or well built? etc.

Any info would be appreciated.
 
I have one installed now and love it. I didn't go with the one in the link above, I bought second hand off eBay. I have just bought another one from eBay, so that speaks for itself, lol. I went for the manfrotto and find it very sturdy. I have it mounted to the same wall as the background support and have been using it to light the backdrop. It keeps the wires off the floor, is quick to adjust, can drop the light to the floor, or put it above the model in seconds. It doubles in length and if you don't quite fully extend it there is no wobble. However, if you extend it fully, it has a little bit of movement, but pushing it in 10cm makes it sturdy again.

Another thing that's great, I'd I sits flush to the wall when not in use. Can't wait to install my second one tomorrow.

I put it on the wall using 12mm sleeve anchor bolts so it doesn't move. You can't put one on stud walling, it would wrap out. Will do some measuring when I get in.
 
Thanks for your thoughts. I have found the Manfrotto 098b one and it does not seem to have Vertical movement that the Interfit one has.

Is this correct?



Edit: Please ignore the above question as I have found this on the Karlu website for the Manfrotto - Rotation: 160 degrees vertically and 180 degrees horizontally.

It does have Verticle movement as the Interfit one does.

Lol... U had me confused for a minute... I was wondering how mine where different lol.

I'm amazed more people haven't commented. These things seem to be ideal for the smaller studio, as long as things can be screwed into the wall.. But even then, people could clamp them to an autopole
 
Thanks for the info and the heads up on eBay, did not think of looking there.

I've just purchased a couple of nearly new Manfrotto 098b myself, will collect in the next couple of days.
