Hi Guys,
I am starting a HND photography course in August. I was/am under the impression I have to pay my own fees as I've been funded for an HND in the past about 15 years ago. I was fine with this as I expected it but having spoken to the student funding dept they have advised me that you can be eligible to have course fees paid for 3 years out of 6 and as my course was so long ago SAAS should be paying my fees. I asked SAAS and they said the information is not correct and I had to pay them but I could formally appeal the decision. Now the question is why? Why would they tell me or hint that I could formally appeal the decision if it wasn't correct? I don't want to waste my time or theirs so I was actually taking their word for until the funding dept told me I could be funded.
Anyone know anything about this?
I live in Scotland by the way in case that makes a difference as I know your fees are different down south.
