Does anyone have an alternative supplier for Strut Mounts other than Maple Framing?

Looking for standard sizes black cardboard (9x6, 12x8 etc etc) price not that important, I'd rather have good delivery times and customer service.

To be fair, I've used maple a lot previously with minimum bother; but I've been let down big time this week. :bang:

Anyone have another supplier to recommend? :help:

Yep another vote for Photomart - Good quality and a good price - Never been let down on delivery and they are always pretty quick too.

Have just noticed this thread and would like to offer Stegsie our apologies for the let down he has had. We try our hardest to perform to the deliveries we state when a customer orders. However sometimes, albeit rarely, we are subject to events outside of our control, such as a delivery company not delivery on time or losing a package. We obviously would like to absolutely guarantee a delivery but this is just not possible. Where we get an outside delivery company causing problems we look for alternatives.

We have grown over the years to be one of the largest suppliers of professional image presentation products and pride ourselves on being perhaps the only source of products in single quantities such as just one strut mount or photo folder.

John Dobbs at Maple Framing Limited

I have used various mount suppliers and I must admit that I find John at Maple very good to deal with. Like most companies, they have their off days but they are still better than most.

They are my first port of call.

Wow there is a name from the past...I used to go into Maple Framing often when my dad was a wedding pro back in the day. Still remember the many many fridges full of film...and randomly the free golf balls they used to give away too!

Sorry...way off topic.

John many thanks for the response. As mentioned, I have used Maple many times before without incident, but the way this was handled last time around really necessitated me finding an alternate supplier. I don't have a great deal of use for prints, but when I do I tend to need a quick turnaround. Your ability to provide single quantities is (or was) an attractive offer, alongside next day delivery services.

My issue throughout this, however, was the fact that whilst I understand mistakes with delivery company's can happen, the inability to accurately communicate this and sympathise with me as a customer left me with a sour taste. I also didn't appreciate that the emails i sent requesting a refund on the next day delivery charge that i had paid went completely unanswered - a reasonable request when waiting for as long as i did. I appreciate mistakes and delays happen, we've all had to disappoint customers for no fault of our own, but the way i was handled (and positively ignored) made me question ever using Maple again - hence me posting on here to find an alternative supplier.

Hi Steve
Thanks for your reply. We appreciate your concern at the lack of communication by ourselves and consequently we have arranged to issue a credit for the difference between the 1-2 and 3-5 day delivery charges (please call with your CC details so we can apply the credit). Alternatively, as a good will gesture, should you wish to place an order with us in the future we will waive the delivery charge.

Right, just put another order in so let's see how it goes this time. Am hoping all is ok and back to the standard I was use to.

Cheers.
