Ok, so my PS skills (CS5) are slightly better than they were but that is not really saying a lot to be honest.

I'm really keen to get much better at it as I'd really like to produce some excellent composites so just wondering if anyone has any tips as I just feel I'm not improving as much as I would like.

Wondering how long it took you and how much time you need to spend on it?

Is it best to take one photo and then work through every effect in CS5 seeing what each one does? Or choose one technique then rework until mastered?

Looked at some courses but local doesn't have a lot to offer- turn on PC sort of stuff. I know I'm a bit beyond that at least:lol:

I got a NAPP membership for Christmas have managed to pick up a lot from the tutorials in the magazine and the video's on the site.

What I've learned about doing composites is that it's generally the combination of different effects that makes them work, by going through the tutorials you see this happening rather than trying each one out individually in isolation.

Ta- will take a look. Had a look at some of the photoshop magazines tonight but I was unconvinced at the £5.99 price although I am probably biased due to other photography mags which I think are all truly awful. It just looked like there were maybe two pages that were any good.

If you take advantage of the discounts they offer it becomes good value, I got 25% off Photomatix due to being a NAPP member.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is NAPP ?

I'm going through the Lynda.Com video training very good
