Hi all,

I am fairly new to photography.... well the DSLR side anyway.

My main interest in photography is people and I hope to eventually set myself up a little studio in a spare room and photograph friends and family etc.

I admit to knowing absolutely nothing about flash photography and was wondering if anyone could recommend any media to help me on my way.

Am just about to purchase a SB-600 speedlight and will learnt how to use it inside and out before purchasing anymore equipment.

I dont mind reading books but would prefer to watch tutorials and DVD's as I seem to pick up things quicker that way.

Can anyone recommend any DVD's or websites that can provide an amateur like myself with help in getting to a decent standard.

Cheers

Im a member of phototraining4u.com created by Mark Cleghorn.

He is a wedding and portrait photographer and has filmed himself at work.
So you get to see it as it happens.

Also other good stuff on equipment, flash etc..

He also does freebie videos for lastolite, check out there site...

Many thanks guys, some stuff for me to go on there.

Is the strobist set the one I have found for just over £100?

Look out for Zak Arias 'one light' dvd's, there well worth a watch to

Oh!! and try Nikons new DVD,

thisdvd is about their CLS system, it's filmed with Joe Mcnally and another bloke (who's name escape me!)

Even if you dont run a Nikon system it's well worth a watch
