Hi,

Hoping somebody out there might be able to point me in the right direction. Usually for lenses and such I just use lensesforhire but this time I'm in need of some strobes. I found camerarent and used them as they managed to cover everything but despite a network spanning about 40 depots they have none of what I want, which leaves me in a bit of a pickle.

Lens isn't too much of an issue, I can hire that out easy enough but I'm struggling to find somebody who can offer me a Bowens strobist kit. Well, brand doesn't matter too much just as long as I can get a couple of decent, powerful enough strobes and remote triggers. Just shooting indoors so have power sockets.

Deadline is tight, need them for next Tuesday so I can use them weds morning. Any recommendations?
 
Where are you at? I know 2 studios in Kent that would rent you that.

In London Calumet, Flash Centre or Pro Centre.
 
Manchester is a possibility but only if I can't find anything closer or who can supply via a courier. It's 45min to an hours journey away so to factoring in a return journey each way means that picking up the kit will take as long as the job itself.
 
I don't know the godless north that well. Have you called a few rental studios, I've rented kit from a rental studio to use on location

You could give the guys at The Flash Centre in Leeds a call and ask about hiring their Elinchrom Ranger kit :)
