why? read the thread...

I have, in its entirety.

...how many times has wurzel insulted other members?

Several. I'm not referring to his suspension, more your flouting of the rules and, alongside, abuse of power (IMO).

I'm not saying anything further for fear of falling foul of the rules myself. I've reported the post concerned with my thoughts already, so will leave it at that.

no abuse of power at all, his infractions have racked racked up = auto ban. Ive got 6 points, i might get a ban to.

So back on track, I've just ordered a biscotti woodwick candle off ebay and is meant to be comming via RM 2nd Class. Providing the seller posts on Monday when should I expect it?:bonk::bonk:

Also my company car will almost certainly be a smarty! :):)

I wouldn't've thought Minehead to Wilts would be cause for a delay, willbaroo.

The reporting caused jitters for a fortnight among my customers, but the mail has been getting through pretty much as normal, as far as I can tell.

For low value, low weight packages there's nothing (yet) to touch Royal Mail. For high value packages, Special Delivery and Standard Parcels also win. Some couriers provide a competitive and reliable service for packages 4kg and heavier of low value.

Right. My final comment in this thread.

Firstly thanks to Steep, Willbaroo, Kipax and Simmotino for posting in my absence. I'm glad i'm not the only one who can see what's going on here.

Secondly thanks Matty for the ban. I was struggling to see your point of view regarding Royal Mail management bullying their workforce, but now i completely understand. Abuse of power by people in authority is obviously an acceptable way of life for you.

Oh and there were infact 2 direct insults in your post before mine. You seemed to have conveniently missed this one:

I only care about people who want to work, not a bunch of idiots who cant see their own demise due to the smoke coming out of the burning barrel they are stood around

Thirdly a sincere appology to everyone else involved in this discussion if my tone has come across as insulting to anybody.
I'm not going to make excuses for myself but make no mistake this is a very serious issue affecting not just me, but my wife, children and our entire future.
Although the only direct insults have come from Matty, i've had to deal with the indirect insults from people in this thread in the 'generalisation of a postie'.

So far in this thread i've been regarded to as lazy, selfish, workshy, slacker and idiotic. I understand nobody set out to insult me directly (except Matty of course) but put yourself in my shoes for a moment and ask yourself - would you not be angered if these comments were directed at you?

That is all i have to say on the matter.

I can see this thread having the C word applied (I mean the 6 letter one).

No offence Wurzel, but if you hate the job that much, why are you still there? If you hate the point of view of most people in the generalisation of the Royal Mail, why are you still there? If you don't like working the overtime, why are you still there? I'm sure you'll be easily replaced with the high amount of unemployment, and I'm sure you'd be happier if you're in a job where you don't have these situations.

People feel they have to stay in a job for all sorts of reasons. MW's complaint was about indirect insults in this thread: I guess detractors are more civilised face-to-face. As far as I'm aware, there have been changes to the overtime arrangements which have contributed to the dispute. Longstanding employees may be easily replaced, but it'll take time for them to get up to speed, and I see Pieface's statement as another thinly-disguised insult.

careful now, dont start getting personal again, Ive not intended to offend anyone here, and if i have then I apologise.

Its not management bullying staff, its the unions. you dont have to strike, do you? Action and lobbying to get what you want is fine, but destroying the service that you are apparently trying to protect wont do it, its only serving to alienate an increasingly unsympathetic public.

No, thats an observation on SOME of the posties that I know.

Dont apologise for having a strong opinion, that isnt the problem. the problem is that you think that folk should support the actions, where I really dont want to at all because you are fighting

a) inevitability
b) progress
c) capitalism

:bang:Again, you are on thin ice, ive not directed my comments about you, just a handful of militants who are hell bent on spending cold mornings standing around burning rubbish, you're not one of those, are you?

That is all i have to say on the matter.

May I make a suggestion?

ive not set out to insult anyone, I feel very strongly, as does MW, but we are on different sides of the debate - I dont want to upset anyone, and im sorry if i have.

What telling him that if he doesn't like the job then why doesn't he leave and get something he'd enjoy more? Just if he doesn't have passion in a job, then why not leave, make himself happier in a new position, and give other people the chance to do a job they enjoy.
