Still going ahead. 28th January.
Exact time and loc still TBC.

I'll PM you all next week with final details.

Great stuff Arkady - looking forward to it ! :thumb:

Going to cost me though ... in spades as someone near and dear intends travelling down with me and going shopping ... in the sales ? ... in London ? ... all day ?!? :hissyfit:

lose the credit cards down the back of the sofa!

Best to nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

You can't make that sort of decision - you're just a grunt. ;)

As before, if we can get enough peeps interested, I don't mind travelling as long as fuel expenses are paid.

Hmmm... wonder if I can get the boss to sign off on a hire car?

Tempting...

Go and ask her, mate. Not too far from you. She's in a council house in Windsor, so I hear...

Transport sorted thanks to DJW

I can picture it now :laugh1: :laugh1:

Bumping this back up.

I may be called away to Malawi for a week at the end of this month, which will throw a spanner in the works slightly.

If I do get sent, which alternative weekend will be better for everyone? The weekend before, or the one after? Bearing in mind we all get paid at the end of the month...

Hmm, tricky one. 21st may not be possible due to lack of funds and the 4th I'm gigging with a relatively early set up time, so getting back from London might be difficult...

PM sent...

AFAIK, this is only a 'maybe' type of job.

If I do go, it looks like the simplest thing will be to postpone til the last weekend of Feb. That'll give evryone time to re-schedule stuff. I don't want to be repeating stuff for individuals that I want to cover as a group project, as those who would be on subsequent events would have an unfair advantage, so to speak.

Just keep us informed Rob, no problems - it is in your own time :)

OK - 90% certain that we'll be deployed to Malawi for two weeks at the end of the month. Exercise/Jolly.

I'll postpone until the last w/e of Feb in that case. Saturday 25th Feb is the new date for your diaries.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder as well :)

Date added to my Outlook calender

Shame about that Arkady ... for us civvies anyway !?! :hissyfit:

Enjoy your jolly and see you next month instead - 25th diarised ! :smilenod:

Nope...sh*tty weather. Monsoon season there now - 287mm average monthly rainfall for Jan/Feb as opposed to the 82mm average rainfall of Stornoway for the same month...

It'll be ok - your British, you'll have an umbrella;)

Hope its not too rough out there:thumb:

Ditto, and thanks for rescheduling, Rob. Pencilled in already... :thumb:

What are we doing with the Bristol one Rob...back a month ? No probs, just making sure I keep weekend free :)

Sorry fellas - yeah that'll be pushed back to March.

I'll confirm dates when I get back from Malawi (and finish drying out my Nikons...)

Just checking my diary....

GF is off work, but might make it that date, will need to confirm closer though :)

It Gets better.

Now I'm off to Afghanistan on thursday or friday, depending on flights. For two or three weeks.

Guys, I know it's a real pain, but I'm going to postpone this til I get back. If you can be flexible, bearing in mind I may only be able to give you a weeks' notice.

Did bu**er all last year and look at us now...

C'est la vie Rob !

Generally flexible is good for me ... although I am away most of March, but should be alright at the end ... or whatever !

Will look out for your posting whenever !

Best wishes and enjoy Afghans !

Cheers, Matey.
Sorry for messing everyone about...
