Im just wondering when your first time was, how you got into it, and where its got you(if anywhere)

ie did you shoot along side somebody, just take the plunge and go solo, ??

Are you looking at taking model shots in a studio or out?

If you are looking at studio shooting then maybe something like the Lencarta Studio day if not then the best way is to go out and shoot pictures of people and then ask for critique on here. Models and people, practice on people you know.

You might consider group shoots run by a local studio. Good way to learn from others with a pro on hand. The models are usually very experienced and know how to pose and work to the camera. I am sure there must be somewhere not too far away that does them. You might want to try some model related sites like Web-Models.co.uk or Net-Model.com which list group shoots or TFPmodels.co.uk which has groups organising development days.

I personally like asking mates as its v informal and adds a certain amount of realism as portraits/weddings are unlikely to be working with 'models' tfp models from purestorm ect can be great for more creative stuff

Hello :)
We run group shoots on a regular basis with Models and also offer tuition on how to pose / work with Models. I work at the studio as resident Model as well as PR Assistant etc and am always on hand at short notice if needed. (such as if your own Model lets you down)
We have a FANTASTIC selection of Models who work at the Studio who are friendly, skilled and beautiful. We also have an in house printing and framing service here.
Drop me a line or give me a call if you need any advice, myself, Lee & Steve would be happy to help.
Best wishes,
Michelle Monroe
