Hi all, my friends daughter needs an operation and the only place she can get it done is in the USA. So him and his wife are organising a lot of charity events.

I emailed a local photographer to ask her if she'd donate a photo shoot as an auction item and almost immediately she told me to pop into her shop and pick up a voucher.

Her and her shop deserve a mention.

I've yet to meet a horrible togger <3

Hi Paul, my heart goes out to the family in this. Good on you for contacting the local photographer and well done to her for the donation and quick response.

I wish them all the best for the future.

Good on the togger - love the name of the company. Pure class.

I've just donated £5 to Holly's cause through the website. Hope she gets her op soon. (I know £5 isn't a lot, towards the £40,000 but every bit helps!)

On a sidenote - amazes me in this day and age it's been done for 28 years in the USA with 100% success rate (no idea of volume of op's.) Wouldn't you have thought some UK surgeons would have been out there by now to learn and practice the procedure? The NHS never fails to disappoint me.

That's great.

It does not really matter about small donations (not that I consider a fiver a small amount), its lots of small donations that will hopefully help them on there way.

Reading the stuff on Holly's website tends to put things into perspective whilst we all ponder our next lens or body purchase.

Yeah you ain't wrong there Bob.

Thanks for your kind assistance by the way. :D

Had a charity pub crawl with them last night, great fun and a fair bit of money raised plus awareness spread.
