Strange spot on pictures, def not UFO

Hi all,

A camera which has been stored away for a few years has recently been brought out and used again. There are no ufos, but I'm wondering if the spot which is on every picture is a mould growth inside the lens/camera, the front element is clean and undamaged. It's only a cheap little thing (as you'll see from the images) but it would be good to hear from you what you reckon is the cause.

as I've said on another post you made...

If those images were from a digital SLR, i'd say that you've got the mother and father of all dust-spots on your sensor. If it's from a point and shoot or fixed lens camera, then you've got some dirt either in the lens, ON the lens, or inside the camera on the sensor.

And, after checking the Exif on one of the pictures, it's a Samsung L201 / VLUU L201 camera - so it's a 6 year old point and shoot compact camera - and unless your dirt spot is on the outside of the lens, any repair / clean is going to be way more than economically viable.
 
Could be a UFO?

Might also be an insect who met it's end in there but I guess dust or fungus is more likely.
Still, great excuse to buy a new camera!

That lower cable in the 2nd and 3rd pics doesn't look in great nick either. :)
 
Thanks guys - you're right, that cable is fubar! Did the picture give you OS coords as well, possibly my council tax rate? <hating bigbrother>

Did you gather those coordinates from the picture data, and if so how? Can't find 'em meself. Reasonable guess otherwise, if a little (quite a lot) out!
