My new toy :D Trouble is, cannot find my "Start Menu", "My Computer", "Device Manager" and it took me an hour to find my D3 and open my raw files.

Sorry for the odd crop, and sensor / wall dirt. Really struggling to use this, so editing is at a minimum!!!

I almost bought one of these things today. I'm currently using a Dell laptop with a couple of monitors and CS2 but I really think I'm going to cross to the dark side.

No, no, not Nikon, Apple!
 
It wont take you to long to get use to it,
Of corse you will have to get an iphone now to sync everything that is bril!
had mine nearly a year now
 
Nice Gary... I made the switch a couple of months back to one that looks identical, well, in colour and without the rad behind it or the very shiny glass and chrome desk, but hey... Coming from a PC, it's surprisingly easy to use, but having some unix background certainly helped :D.
 
Very nice, i tried an old G3 about 18 months ago but ditched it very quickly after i descovered that i couldn't print borderless with my R300 :shrug:

I'd love to try again though but i need to win the lottery first (or send the wife back to work!!)
 
Welcome to the world of mac! Once you've found everything and got used to the ergonomics, I think you'll prefer it mate, have you got lightroom too?

I was in the Apple Store in Manchester yesterday, with the wife, kids and my mum, drooling over the 24" Mac.

Mum asked if it was any good, i told her how good it was and she said "Do you want one? I'll buy it for you, but you NEVER get another birthday / Christmas present again!" :eek:

God i love my mum :love: So i'll be posting up forsale threads for all my PC stuff later this week :lol:

We came to an agreement.

I'll sell my PC and she'll cover the differnce.

Its not going to be a huge change as i have my PC running OSX anyway ;), but the Apples are the ultimate all in one package.

Dude, a mac is a mac!
They usually only upgrade the processors... most are hoping for a quad core... but then you are talking lots more dwayne eddies!

Good choice! I seriously think Mac's have saved me money. Before getting one I was having to upgrade PC every year, and now with macs I only change them about every 2 and a half years!
Enjoy! I know you will! Make sure you grab aperture...

and there I was thinking you wallet would be taking less of a hamering now you own 99% of the camera equipment in the world, glad to see I was wrong as at least now when the misses picks on me for spending too much I can still point out this one guy online who spends even more!
