Storm Eunice

The M2 bridge is closed both directions, as is the Queen Elizabeth bridge over the Thames. My patio table has been blown ten metres into my rose trellis - it needed a bit of a thin out anyway.
I was watching BigJet live earlier on and several planes had three landing attempts, it was like an aerial parking lot over SE England, One jet made two attempts at Heathrow and then got diverted to Geneva.

I'd never heard of this.......... I'm now addicted

I recently became addicted to it as well. This is their Facebook page with recent videos. The ones from Lakenheath are very good.

Also the live flight tracking maps.

Cant wait to get home. My Wife has sent me a text to tell me weve 'lost' 2 fence panels and the wall at the end of the garden

Dang, that's harsh - we had a back yard fence blow into the neighbour's back garden along with a Parasol a number of years back during a bad hurricance. I remember having to clean up the mess, hurricane still ongoing!

Two Fence panels down and no power since 1pm, just come back on.
Really rough out there for a while calmed down now, just waiting for the deluge of rain being forecast

No power from 330-630, cooking (gas hob) by led light, no 4g either!!!

Back fence panel blew down, was always on the cards as sides ones new 2 years ago and the fence was a bit wobbly with rotting posts so would have gone this year anyway

Well it's been a complete non event in the south.
I've see a wheelie bin lid blown open and a couple bits of tree in the road.
Other than that, business as usual.

This is marked in my diary as the great breeze of 2022.
Dunno where abouts in the south you are? We got it quite bad in mid Kent from about 3pm… our fence blew down, several large trees have gone in the field behind us and our neighbours had their 12 x 10 shed/summerhouse literally lifted off its base and slammed into a pole carrying power lines to about 20 neighbouring houses. Luckily it didn’t break the pole or damage the overhead wires.
