Storm Abigail upgraded to Normal Hebridean Weather

Now that tickles me.
Thanks for posting :-)

What does Naidheachdan mean? Using the closest Welsh words I came up with 'Not Sandwiches for the Gaelic'.

".....MET office upgraded their warning for storm Abigail” from Yellow: be prepared to “normal Thursday in Lochmaddy”.

Quite a lot of truth in that.:) The Outer Isles did get a bad storm and as we know a fair few lost power, but it wasn't as bad as many other storms. Here on the mainland in NW Scotland we were supposed to be on the edge of the 'Amber' warning area and, yes it was a strong gale but I've seen and felt much worse, and been a lot more concerned about the nearby trees.

Apparently no truth in the theory that they chose the name as it was going to be "a big gale", but I've a sneaking feeling about that. ;)
