STOLEN EOS400D AND ACESSORIES - SWANSEA AREA

Thanks for everyones support but my equipment never showed up :( I even saw a tamron 70-300mm lens in cash convertors shop in swansea but it wasnt mine.

Anyway on the plus side i have just bagged myself a new setup for £330 off ebay

canon 400D with kit lens, boxed with all acessories
55-200mm canon lens
75-300mm canon lens
canon battery grip
x2 2gig memory cards
Carry case

First thing im going to do is insure on its own policy as my house insurance or car insurance had cleverly got around replacing things actually stolen from a vehicle...

Anyway I cant wait to get out shooting again :D
 
Where ever you insure it check the small print for in car cover, photoguards if you read carefully does not cover hatchbacks or any vehicle where access can be gained from the inside of car to the boot.
 
Yeah, combing the fine print will be a priority after I discovered what my other two policies put in there :thinking:
 
I've only just seen this thread, but I know just how you feel as I was mugged/robbed (never sure which to use....the guy grabbed my bag as I got into my car) at a service station and had all my gear taken. The people on here were amazingly kind and supportive, so I'm not surprised at the wonderful response you have had. I hope you are now fully active again....and insured ;)
 
Sorry that your gear didn't show-up anywhere to be traced, but it is great to hear that you've managed to overcome this and get a nice kit to get back in to the game.

Once you settle on whichever insurance company you go with, do let us know how that turns out. I am sure many benefit from what you've got to say.
 
Glad to hear you've managed to get yourself some new gear.Shame none of your stolen camera gear ever turned up.
