Stolen Camera

Its a long shot but someone lifted my D50 with a nifty fifty attached at Llandaff Fields in Cardiff.

I am , its not worth a lot but it had photos from a party yesterday and a lovely morning out today and its more than I can afford now.

On the off chance any one in Cardiff/South Wales gets offered a cheap one.

Is it insured or covered by the house insurance? How do you mean lifted, how was it stolen?

There is a sticky on here for stolen equipment, I suggest you post details with serial numbers.
It has happened to me, so I know how you feel. Cash converters or any shop selling secondhand cameras in the locality would be my first visits. Good luck!

Just out of interest what happens if you find it for sale in cash converters?

I imagine you tell them in the store and inform the police with your crime reference number.

I feel your pain OP, all my kit was lifted a few weeks back.

Call the police. They should then attend, seize the camera and make enquiries into who brought it into the store. At some point down the line you should be able to claim it back if you can prove its yours. Please note the repeated 'should' I've used here
