Stoke by Nayland

Hi everyone, I'm off to Stoke by Nayland for a long weekend next week and would welcome input on good landscape or architecture locations in the surrounding area.

I've planned a visit to Framlingham castle and also Flatford Mill but other than that I don't much about the location other than the village itself (which has got some nicce locations itself)

Hi

Toppesfield Bridge and the River Brett in Hadleigh is very nice as this is local to Stoke by Nayland (only 8 miles away) also check out the church and grounds.

Scheduled as an Ancient Monument, this medieval three arch bridge has been described as ‘the finest ancient road bridge in Suffolk'. (IP7 6BY)

Are you staying at the golf club? It has beautiful grounds. If you're near Nayland on a tues or thur you can see the suffolk punches ploughing which makes a nice photo Or there's Thorington hall, but I'm not sure if it's open, you'd need to check.

Or you could just come into Colchester which has endless opportunities Have a nice time!

We're staying at the Angel Inn but don't get there until mid afternoon Friday. I'll check out Thorington Hall, have an Aunt in Colchester so might kill two birds with one stone!
